Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By using the Wasper website (wasper.app) or the Wasper application, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.

2. The Product

Wasper is a voice-to-text application for macOS. It converts speech to text using on-device processing. Features include dictation, AI-powered text rewriting, and live interpretation.

3. License

When you purchase Wasper, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software on up to 3 (three) Macs that you own or control.

• The license is perpetual — it does not expire.
• You may use Wasper for both personal and commercial purposes.
• You may not redistribute, sublicense, or resell the software.
• You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software.

4. Free Trial

Wasper offers a 7-day free trial with full functionality. No credit card is required. After the trial, a license purchase is required to continue using the app.

5. Pricing & Payments

Wasper is a one-time purchase of $29 USD. Payments are processed by LemonSqueezy, who acts as the merchant of record. Sales tax and VAT are handled by LemonSqueezy.

Optional cloud transcription is available at $9/month after an included 3-month free period. You can cancel cloud transcription at any time without affecting your license.

6. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with Wasper for any reason, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. See our Refund Policy for details.

7. Cloud Services

Optional cloud transcription and the AI Rewrite feature depend on third-party services. We do not guarantee their availability or uptime. Local transcription is always available regardless of cloud service status.

8. Accuracy

Speech recognition and AI-powered text processing are not perfect. Wasper does not guarantee the accuracy of transcriptions or AI rewrites. Always review important text before sending.

9. Your Content

Your audio, transcriptions, and text remain yours. We do not claim any rights to content you create using Wasper. As described in our Privacy Policy, audio is processed locally and we have no access to it.

10. Intellectual Property

Wasper, its design, code, and branding are the intellectual property of the developer. Your license grants you the right to use the software, not ownership of it.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Wasper is limited to the amount you paid for the software ($29). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under EU law.

12. Termination

We may terminate your license if you violate these terms (e.g., redistribution or reverse engineering). Upon termination, you must stop using and delete the software.

13. Updates

We may release updates to Wasper at our discretion. Updates included with your license are free. We reserve the right to change the update policy for future major versions, with existing license holders grandfathered under their original terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and the European Union. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lisbon, Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.

15. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Wasper after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
